Thanks
to many Environment Massachusetts members, our Mother's Day Lobby Day
Event was a huge success. More thank 150 Alliance for a Healthy
Tomorrow and Environment Massachusetts activists delivered over 24,000
Mother's Day cards to Legislators and Governor Patrick urging them to
replace dangerous toxic chemicals with safer alternatives by passing An Act for a Healthy Massachusetts. Click here to see pictures of the event.
Brief Summary
All Americans deserve to
live in a healthy and toxic-free environment. Unfortunately, conditions like
cancer, birth defects and childhood asthma are all linked to chemicals
commonly found in popular consumer products, released into our air and water,
or dumped into toxic waste sites right in our neighborhoods. Environment Massachusetts stands up
to polluters to ensure that the public has full knowledge about hazardous
material in our communities and works to phase out harmful chemicals where
safer alternatives are available.
